Presentations and video recordings from the recent info days on the 2017 Horizon 2020 energy calls for proposals are now available online.
The Energy Efficiency info day took place in Brussels on 19 September and focused only on the relevant part of the 2017 Energy Challenge Work Programme, which is managed by the Executive Agency for SMEs (EASME). These calls cover areas such as cooling and heating, buildings etc. and in 2017 are either Coordination and Support Actions (CSA) or Innovation Actions (IA) addressing higher TRLs with deadlines either in January or June 2017. No Research and Innovation Actions will be funded in this area next year.
The sessions covered the policy framework of the Energy Efficiency part of Societal Challenge 3 'Secure, Clean and Efficient Energy' including provisional information on the upcoming legislation in this area, planned to be introduced by the Commission next month, as well as best practice in proposal writing, and was followed by detailed technical sessions, each focusing on the specific calls for proposals. Subscribers planning to submit proposals to these calls are strongly encouraged to watch the respective sessions to get detailed information about the technical aspects of the projects to be funded.
Furthermore, the Energy Research Virtual Info Day on the remaining 2017 calls for proposals (Competitive Low-Carbon Energy) was organised by the Innovation and Networks Executive Agency (INEA) in Brussels on 20 September and, like the Energy Efficiency Info Day, focused on presenting the policy framework of Societal Challenge 3 'Secure, Clean and Efficient Energy', best practice in proposal writing, and addressing the numerous cross–cutting priorities such as socio-economic sciences and humanities, innovation and ICT. These calls are a combination of Research and Innovation Actions (RIA), Innovation Actions (IA) and Coordination and Support Actions (CSA) with deadlines in either January, February or September 2017 (single stage calls), as well as November 2016 (first stage) and August 2017 (second stage) in case of the two-stage calls. There are also two ERA-NET Cofunds with deadlines in February and September 2017.
All presentations and a video recording of the event are available on the INEA website.
