The Horizon 2020-funded INCOBRA project has launched a call for bilateral cooperation networks between European and Brazilian researchers.
The main objective of this call is to foster and strengthen mutual cooperation of Brazilian and European R&I actors by providing consultancy services and financial support (€19,500) to existing or newly-formed bilateral networks in the following priority areas: Bioeconomy, food security and sustainable agriculture; Energy; Health and sustainable urbanisation; ICT; Marine Research and Nanotechnology.
The call addresses a more focused and sustainable cooperation between Brazilian and EU actors by selecting five bilateral R&I cooperation networks (with members from both Brazil and Europe), which will have the following features and aims:
- Involvement of BR and EU R&I actors/institutions wishing to engage in mutual cooperation activities and willing to coordinate the implementation of their R&I agendas, objectives and priorities.
- Assistance in defining common R&I agendas and priorities, as well as possibilities for pooling resources for the implementation of joint R&I activities.
- Facilitation of the creation of new partnerships between R&I actors in the priority areas of mutual interests.
- Integration of BR R&I actors in European programmes and of European R&I actors in Brazilian programmes.
Applications can be submitted by legal public and private R&I organisations (including research-driven SMEs) combined into clusters, networks or consortia.
The deadline for submitting applications is 15 December 2017 and further information on the call be found on the INCOBRA project website. Furthermore, a dedicated 45-minute webinar on the call will take place at 14:00 GMT on 25 October 2017 (registration is mandatory).
